Why is it that every time I find a wonderful and creative florist they are always based in America, here are some images from Brooklyn based Nicolette Camille, her use of colour is simply beautiful and each peice is perfectly crafted to perfection...

mini order of the day

Another completed order produced in the embroidery collection. Dawn & Steve were married last week, I thought I would post a few pics from the studio to show you their idea for their order of the day booklets. We produced a little booklet (11cm x 11cm) that was perfect for fitting inside a handbag or suit pocket so guests did not have to carry around a normal standard size card - obviously you can't have too much information inside due to the size but they did work a treat!!! These can be produced for all collections.

autumn in may

Just finishing off last bits and pieces before this gorgeous, 'hot weekend' hits us (fingers crossed) and remembered that I had promised some keen enquirers that I would post some ideas for autumn and winter. Onwards and upwards, four more working hours to go before my weekend starts.....

tones of winter

I know most of you are dreaming of glorious sunshine as we head into the summer months in anticipation (on this very wet day in May), we, however, are thinking of winter and Christmas as sample requests for the later season are daily submitted. The image above captures the tones of winter that we have set for 2010... chalky and talcum whites, dusty greys, faded apricot and matt silvers and golds...

time flies

I can't believe it has been over a week since my last posting...we are extremely busy in the studio at the moment, but it was a fun week. Here's some pics from the porcelain and french corsage collection. We have had some interesting requests this month for sample packs, interesting mix of colours - teals and sorbet, 'tandoori', the trend for bridesmaids to be in varied coloured dresses is really coming through now, so we have had lots of requests for mixed place cards, and combining collections which has been interesting! Must dash busy week ahead........

studio last week

...images from the studio that were taken a couple of weeks ago, clients brief was to mix the french corsage collection with natural objects...

embroidered tents

...I've had a few days away from the production line and have spent the time trying to declutter and re-organise....I am not one to admit to loving laundering and ironing, I know some find it therapeutic, I know my Mum does...so I thought I'd treat my collection of linen tablecloths to a little time out of there dark box to be aired and ironed, and I did find it strangely relaxing...and my youngest loved her new and constantly changing embroidered tent as she hovered under the ironing board - I know it's not the safest place to keep your child.......

snippet and linen

jacqueline and niels

...I had a lovely time earlier this year working with Jacqueline & Niels, quite missed the chats via email once they were wed. Jacqueline has kindly forwarded some images of their day and as orange is a strong colour for 2009 I thought you might like to have a sneaky peak.

There is wonderful sentiment behind their choice of flowers within all the arrangments. Ad Ren tulips and Avalanche roses were selected to symbolise their two nationalities coming together as tulips are so synonymous with The Netherlands and roses being the national flower emblem of England. The bridal bouquet contained 11 roses, as, in the language of roses 11 signifies "you are my treasured one". All arrangments contained green tinged lisianthus plus sprigs of rosemary for fidelity and dark green eucalyptus for protection.

"We were so lucky with the weather on the day - it was one of those crisp spring days; a slight nip in the air but nonetheless bright".
